... And I thought this was normal.

I thought this extent of hard work was just a part of life, and it’s all part of living in our society.

I remember working 12-16 hours, evenings and even on weekends because I thought I needed to be the best.

I felt like I needed to keep up with the competition.

I needed to prove myself worthy.

I needed to earn the recognition and the approval.

I neglected my relationships and friendships.

I put my health on the back burner.

My body was in all kinds of pain.

And I was so mentally stressed, I could barely focus.

That was the cost of being a high achiever at work.

It felt necessary to do this to advance in my career.

Everyone else was doing it anyway, so I was no different.

I remember thinking my career was the most valuable thing to me.

It was a sense of stability and certainty.

... Until the day I got laid off…. during a recession.

This was a breaking point for me.

I had given it my all to a career that worked me to the bone then laid me off like a number.

I quickly learned that these types of traditional jobs were a false sense of security, and anyone could be laid off at any moment.

Fortunately for me, when I got laid off, I was living in Bali and heading down a spiritual path.

I was focusing on personal development, self love, taking care of myself mentally and physically, and discovering my purpose.

It was in Bali when I had a breakthrough, and it had dawned on me that I wanted to help coach others who are overworking, stressed out, on the road to burn out and lacking work-life balance.

I knew firsthand what it was like being worked to the bone, so I wanted to help others that were headed down the same destructive path that I was.

I felt compelled to show people that your job is not as secure as you think.

I felt compelled to help guide others to a healthy work-life balance and a lifestyle where they can manage their stress levels and be MORE productive and focused as a result.

I discovered some life-changing practices that can help with:

  • Improving your mental health

  • Increasing your focus and productivity while working

  • Freeing up time so you can be with friends and family.

(And no, you don’t have to move to Bali.)

I experimented with hacking my brain chemicals to help combat stress.

When I created my lifestyle around these habits, it drastically changed my life for the better.

I learned to say “no” and only take on the most important tasks that would move me closer to my end goal.

I set healthy boundaries

And I delegated.

And I was able to make more money working smarter, not harder.
